Austria wedding – N & G

Judith & Johannes was the first Austrian couple from a circle of friends and family I had the honor to photograph their weddings. I have been back to capture Annabella’s & Andreas’ special day last year – Annabella being the sister of Judith.

I knew I was in for an especially nice couple and Austrian hospitality when N & G – close friends of Judith & Johannes – booked me for their wedding.

This late April wedding had everything you could wish for. Mild temperatures, sunshine, an international, fun loving crowd, a few tears and a lot of love to go around.

N & G got a very special gift: their honeymoon! They didn’t know where they were going but that they would need flipflops ).

N & G – I hope your special weekend continued with an equally special honeymoon!

Diana & Christopher – a maternity session in Augsburg

Diana & Christopher happily tied the knot last year. I was honored to photograph their wedding and we never lost touch. I was so, so happy when I learned they are expecting their first child. And that I was the one to capture this very special time for them.

Spring just started to show its tender beginnings when we ventured out for the maternity session. Once again I am smitten by Diana & Christopher … and the black & white images

Welcome Emma – a newborn session, Dinkelscherben

Uuuuuh, Emma – I love this name! And it fits her perfectly!

It ruffles her feathers when she is undressed. That’s why we started photographing her in her cute outfit. But she was such a darling and played along really well.

Steffi and Wolfgang, thank you for the pleasure photographing this special time in your life. After capturing your wedding and maternity, Emma was another real treat

Welcome Linus – a newborn session, Garmisch-Partenkirchen

It was a beautiful sunny day when I photographed Babette for her maternity session earlier this year. Sunshine accompanied me again when I drove to Garmisch to photograph Linus.

Nearly 4 weeks old, he loved to look around…

… until he fell asleep again. Super easy going!

Welcome Franziskus – a newborn session, Augsburg

One week (!) after the maternity session, Franziskus charmed his way into this world, several weeks early.

He was 11 days old when I had the pleasure to photograph him. Super chilled little man! Loooove his hair!

Franziskus joines a little-big brother, can’t wait to have all my hands full, photographing them again as a family!

Welcome Emilia – a newborn session

Emilia. Can you think of a cuter name? I love all versions of it. Emily. Emilie. Emilia. Now a little lady with that very name was welcomed by their excited parents and my dear friends Tanja & Robbi.

Of course, I had to sneak into the hospital and pester the new parents. Me in front of the lens… the price I had to pay. Gladly

Emilia, 1 day old…

Emilia had her own plans during our newborn session. Don’t be fooled… it didn’t involve sleeping.

Have fun settling in as a family!

Vanessa – a maternity session in Augsburg

I always let my clients choose the location for the session. They know best what reflects their style and preferences – and I find – they relax quickly in a place close to their heart. Vanessa suggested a once famous industrial area in Augsburg, currently under reconstruction. Awesome place.

We got lucky with a sunny day and this session made my skirt fly high

Christine – a maternity session in Augsburg

Christine introduced herself as a guest at Elli & Andy’s wedding last September in Italy. First I couldn’t put a face to the name. She was soft-spoken and had a clear idea of her maternity images – a vision I couldn’t fulfill since I am a natural light photographer and I do not run a studio.

During our telephone conversation an image of a beautiful woman came up in my head. I hoped it was HER, I remembered from the wedding. She was.

Christine embraced the challenge, put on her booties and met me at the Botanical Garden Augsburg. In snow and cold.

I honored her wish for tranquility and “non-smiling” imagery. Most if the time

Christine, you are fabulous one way or the other.

Babette – a maternity session in Garmisch

Snow and sunshine, a magical combination! Winter had already subsided where I live but not so in Garmisch. Plenty of snow and on that particular day, plenty of sunshine to make the freckles pop.

We took a stroll through the park. I just love wintery sunshine photos in black & white.

Looking forward to my next trip to Garmisch – to photograph the little one! See you soon!
