Christopher had proposed to Diana at Miami beach while they visited a part of Diana’s family. A week ago the family came over to Bavaria to toast to the newlywed couple and celebrate their love. The deacon made a lovely reference to the sand at the beach, showing in person with the aid of two children that a fist cannot hold sand. Only an open hand can contain sand. The same with love.
Love was everywhere. In the tears (plenty of them and I had to watch myself!), the hugs and smiles, the games and laughter, the holding of hands and cherishing family and friends.
The unfriendly weather couldn’t dampen their spirits a bit. Happiness was all around.
Diana’s mother set up a bridal room in her house for Diana to get dressed in. Everything was laid out and styled. Sooo lovely. A real treat for the photographer! In this bridal room Diana put on her beautiful gown, her mother fixed the hood of her coat-like veil to her amazing hair-do and Diana turned into a breathtaking bride.
Diana and Christopher, I can’t wait to see you next week for Sandra & Torben’s wedding (where Diana will be Maid of Honor). What a pleasure to see several of you again so soon.
